Meet the Tall Trees family
Kev Scandrett.
Kev has been teaching pilates for 17 years. In that time he has learnt how people of different ages respond to pilates and the benefits they achieve from this amazing body toning, therapeutic exercise. He has taught hundreds of people with various levels of flexibility, experience, very nervous first timers and the very fit advanced person. He always keeps his classes fun where everyone gets to know each other & helps everyone to achieve their full potential.
Kev is available for private sessions.
Michael Hammond.
Michael started his yoga practice over 15 years ago. Michael started out as a competitive body builder and moved onto power lifting as well as martial art. He then found Ashtanga yoga and loved the feeling the practice gave him. Years later he was introduced to Rocket Yoga & was amazed by this practice and was hooked. Soon after, he became a Rocket yoga teacher. Michael is the founder and proud owner of Tall Trees Yoga & Pilates Studio.
Mike is available for private sessions.
Karen Gregory.
Karen came to Tall Trees as a student, but fell in love with the practice & went on to qualify as a Yoga Teacher. She specialises in Ashtanga & Kundalini, but what really brings Karen’s practice to life is her history as a dance teacher & choreographer. It is Karen’s mission to ensure that everyone feels part of the Yoga community.
Karen is available for private sessions.
Kaitlin Morbey.
Kaitlin started with a love of dance and fitness. As a professionally trained dancer she was introduced to Pilates during her training and loved the method. Focusing on precision, flow and mind to body connection she teaches fun and challenging classes with an aftertaste of relaxation and zen.
Samara Pillar.
Samara started her yoga journey 10 years ago while living in Dublin, and was looking for something to calm her down after a hectic workday. After every single class, she would always feel peace & connection to her body & soul. That feeling is exactly what she aims to give to her students after every lesson. She has always said “Yoga, is the best way to recharge and re-center.”
Beckie Rhodes.
Beckie has been practicing yoga for 6 years and instantly fell in love with it. Attending a weekly practice soon turned into daily classes of different styles of yoga. She recently qualified in a 200 hour yoga teacher training course in Bali, but left with so much more than a certificate. Yoga really helped her through some tough times and she is so thrilled to share this wonderful gift with others.
Lesley Anne Barnard.
Lesley first found yoga at the age of 29 years old. Lesley started practicing once a week in local local village hall. After nearly three years She decided to train to become a Yoga Teacher. Lesley’s journey began in 2003 as a Trainee Yoga Teacher, and she soon started to teach at a local gym as well as her own private classes. In 2004, whilst still studying for her yoga qualification she decided she would expand her learning to become a Pilate’s Teacher.
Caroline Nunn.
Caroline has been practicing yoga on and off for over ten years, but has been wholeheartedly dedicated to her practice and learning over the past 5 years. She approaches yoga through a curious, anatomical lens and encourages critical thinking to move away from more traditional yoga paradigms. Instead she favours safer, smarter and more functional movement patterns to serve us throughout our lives.
Nina Tombs.
Nina is another of our teachers to come through the ranks. Starting off as a student at Tall Trees, Nina soon decided that her passion was to become a teacher and took a 2 year course. After her training Nina started to teacher regular classes at TallTrees as well as leading some workshops. Nina also teaches at her workplace and learned sign language in order to teach at a local school for the deaf. Last year Nina added to her teaching skills by qualifying as a Rocket yoga teacher.
